3rd Degree

How can I NOT give a glowing review about this book since James Patterson is one of my favorite authors? Oops! He’s not my most favorite author, that’s Bob Miller; but I think you get my drift.

This is the third in his Women’s Murder Club series and set in modern day San Francisco. Like all of his books, it is a quick engrossing read. It starts out at a quick pace and never stops. Of course, all four women (a lawyer, a medical examiner, a police lieutenant and a journalist) are intertwined in this story of who’s killing these prominent people, why and how can he/she/it be stopped. If you’ve read any of the hype for this book, you’ll know something bad happens, but then what story doesn’t have something bad happen?  However, something good happens, too, that could provide fuel for the next book in this series.

James Patterson doesn’t waste words, but he tells a story in a gripping manner that keeps me glued to the sofa and the book in my hands…whether it’s one of his Alex Cross books, a Women’s Murder Club book or any of his other works.
