This is the fourth in Mr. P’s Women’s Murder Club series. This story has Lindsay Boxer, a San Francisco Police lieutenant, getting into trouble she might not be able to survive.

A high-speed chase leaves she and her partner severely wounded, one person dead and another an invalid for life; the brother/sister criminal duo dead and wounded by Lindsay’s bullets. To avoid the media before the trial, Lindsay stays at her sister’s home in a small coastal town not far from San Francisco. She can’t relax and keeps thinking about a cold case that resembles the murders currently happening in Half Moon Bay. Even though she has no jurisdiction, she can’t keep her nose out of the investigations. And the verdict in her trial can’t keep her from returning to Half Moon Bay and solving those murders.

I had a good idea whodunit, but Mr. P still kept a few twists and turns in the story to keep the reader’s interest. Another quick read, of course.
