Hour Game

A young woman is found dead in the woods. Then two teenagers are found dead in the boy’s car. Dead people are turning up everywhere—gender, wealth (or lack thereof), and age are not factors, everyone is fair game. And each murder has only one clue…a watch and a characteristic mark or item of various infamous serial killers in the past.

Michelle Maxwell and Sean King, two ex-Secret Service agents, have established a private investigation firm in a small rich town in Virginia. They’ve been hired by a lawyer defending Junior Deaver who is accused of robbing from the wealthiest family in town, Bobby & Remmy Battle. They’ve also agreed to help the local police chief, Todd Williams, with the murders.

As the story unfolds, the good guys realize there’s more than one murderer. Are they working together? My list of whodunit possibilities grew as I read, then started dwindling as my suspects bit the dust. This is a fast-paced story all the way to the end.
