Mary, Mary It was good to have another Alex Cross story in hand. He and his family were finally on a real vacation to Disneyland when his boss, the FBI Director, called and asked him to look into the murder of a prominent actress in Hollywood. The murderer had sent an email to an editor of the Times explaining the murder and signed it Mary Smith. Of course, Alex gets engrossed in this and the subsequent murders that happen to other illustrious stars. Mary is caught, but Alex knows she's not the real killer. His instincts take him back east and almost get him killed. It's another good mystery with surprises about the murders, whodunit, and Alex's personal life. If you're an Alex Cross fan, you'll zip through this adventure as quickly as the others. |
