Alone

Bobby Dodge is a member of the Massachusetts State Police Special Tactics and Operations team. He's called to a domestic disturbance in a well-to-do section of Boston one Thursday night and his life is forever changed when he kills the husband.

Unfortunately for Bobby, the guy he killed is a judge's son who accuses Bobby of murder. Judge Gagnon will stop at nothing to get custody of his grandson since he thinks his daughter-in-law, Catherine, is worthless, is trying to kill her son, and is ultimately responsible for her husband's death.

Catherine is conniving, a liar, a manipulator, and sexy. She doesn't grieve for her husband, is a lousy mother to Nathan, and she tries to seduce Bobby.

Bobby must defend himself against the power and might of a crooked judge while fighting his own mental demons about the shooting, Catherine, and his childhood.

Unfortunately, other bodies turn up throughout the story. Who's doing the killing? Who hired the killer? Why does the Judge desperately want custody of his grandson?

This isn't a story about happy people, but you'll enjoy the whodunit.
