Beach Road by James Patterson Three young men are murdered on a beach near a movie stars mansion in mega-bucks East Hampton. Dante Halleyville is accused of the murders and asks Tom Dunleavy, a year-round resident and attorney, to represent him. Tom seeks help from a long-ago love, Kate Costello. Most of the story revolves around the trial and assorted sub-plots. And, of course, who really killed the three men. Im a long-time James Patterson fan; and like all his books, this is a quick, surprising read with a shocking end (although I did figure out one of the bad guys). But I wasnt nuts about this new writing technique of each chapter from a different characters viewpoint. Return to Index |
