Haven't you ever wondered why all the POWs who were with John McCain in the Hanoi Hilton are not on the campaign trail with him telling voters what a great guy he is? Why at least half of them are not doing so? Why not even ONE of them is doing so? They are not doing so for the very same reason that none of the pilots who served with him on the USS Forrestal are on the campaign trail with him telling voters what a great guy he is.

The facts are when John McCain made propaganda films for the enemy, he disobeyed a direct order as laid out in the United States Military Code of Conduct Articles 1-6. The Navy could have court marshaled McCain had they seen fit.

McCain supporters complain about the media being unfair. They're right, there were over 600 POWs; how many of them can you name? The odds are that John McCain, one of the least deserving of the 600, is the only one. While saying he doesn't want to talk about being a POW, he's made a career out of talking about it on Meet The Press and other free media outlets.

A truly great soldier, General Wesley Clark, tried to tell the American people about John McCain only to be criticized by the very ones he was trying to help. It's commendable that Senator Obama and his staff are trying hard to win the Oval Office without stepping on McCain's hero image, but that approach to the Oval Office cost a million people their lives, put the world economy on the verge of collapsing, and both Gore and Kerry the presidency.

I lived in Pensacola, Florida and played golf daily with retired naval officers and they estimated that hundreds of Marines had been killed in the III Corps area because of what McCain had told the enemy about our military strategies. I was shot down twice in Vietnam, and while I am not a Christian, I am very spiritual. I believe that Senator Obama has the quality of magnanimity and greatness of soul, and I know for a fact that it's these qualities our enemies fear, not our military.
