| Golfers who hit three or
four topped shots every round will also get their fair share of fat shots.
The good news: correct one and youre well on your way to eliminating the other.
Common set-up errors: Poor posture. Bend at the hips and stick that butt out (as with the fat shot, this is critical). Your back should be reasonably straight with the knees slightly flexed. Watch out! Dont let your ball position slip too far forward of center. Tension. Stiff arms promote shortness of the swing arc which results in topped shots. You are not on trail for first-degree murder; you are playing a game. The most common swing error: Trying to lift ball into air. Believe it or not, the loft of the clubface will lift it for you. Trust me. |
